What experiences or credentials do you have that qualify you to write as and examiner?
I have been lucky enough to find my passion for marketing at such a young age. This allows me to learn new and upcoming marketing techiniques, a little bit faster than if i was older. I have currently quit my job working as a Marketing Coordinator for over 150 reps at a MetLife office, in order to open my own business. Marques Marketing has thank goodness become very successful in this one woman show. I am able to cater to my clients with one on one interaction, whether they need consultation, designs, event planning or anything that would help them grow their business here on long island.
In your articles, what are some topics you would examine and why?
I would examine the growing aspect of marketing in mom and pop stores. This topic is special to me because i learned the foundations of business at Herricks Jewelers, which was a blessfully 40 year runned mom and pop store, that recently was sold to two people who didnt treasure the gifts this store had to offer. while i was working there my boss Anthony Sparacino taught me everything i needed to know in order to find my passion for marketing. My main goal as a Marketing Specialist with my own company is to help small business grow further, so that large corporations dont weed them out. Long Island is made up of wonderfun mom and pop establishments who may need some marketing help in order to get them out of the feeding frenzy, from the large corporations have them in.
Sample article title:
Marketing for small business
Sample article:
Have you noticed driving down a road where you know is a hot spot for everything you need, suddenly seems so empty? The barber that you have been going to since you were five is gone. Your favorite keepsake Italian restaurant vanished. Suddenly there isn’t enough room for corporate America and mom and pop stores. Where do you get better customer service? Mom and pop stores of course, most of the time they already know your whole life story and would do anything to help a friend out. With marketing taken into consideration, if you have the right person marketing your company, it can be an inexpensive and an ever changing concept for your company. This is why we need to teach small business owners who to go to or simply how to market themselves as well. Small business should be recognized just the same. They are make Long Island special.
Your bio:
Before we were created, our CEO/Founder worked full time at a mom and pop jewelry store. Learning everything she could from the very successful business owner, she soon understood that marketing was her passion. Understanding the needs and wants of their cliental was essential to keep customers returning and referring others. The designing of custom pieces as well as being the assistant buyer for the store was the key aspect of making sure the store prospered. Shortly after graduating from C.W Post with her Bachelors in Arts, she realized that the world was open for her to explore. This is when she became the Marketing Coordinator for one of the few MetLife offices on Long Island. Here she learned how to market over a hundred sales representatives in a fast paced industry. Exceeding her job description and constantly learning new business aspects in a large corporation, she soon wanted more. Marques Marketing was born.

10 reasons to use post card mailings
Thought this might be usefull, post card mailings are the new and up coming way of connecting with your prospects.
the Top 10 Advantages of Using Postcards:
1. Postcard marketing is affordable, even for the smallest of businesses.
2. When you're marketing with postcards, you keep your competition in the dark. But they'll always know when you advertise in the newspaper!
3. it's easy to track your results.Your card can tell recipients to bring the card into your store for a special discount. Or it can ask them to use a special ordering code when purchasing from your website.
4. Postcards are versatile. In a single mailing, you can seek business from prospective customers, and solicit repeat business from existing customers. Plus, a postcard isn't just something to send through the mail. You can use postcards as oversized business cards, hang tags for your products, and mini information sheets.
5. Your postcards can "brand" you and your business in ways that most marketing materials cannot. If you start and stick to a regular postcard-mailing program, you and your business will gain quite a reputation, and perhaps even a little fame.
6. Testing an offer with postcards is easy. Just send your card to a small group of people and see how many respond. If you're satisfied with the results, it's time to roll out a bigger mailing!
7. Postcards are time-savers. Recipients don't even have to open an envelope to read your message. And did you know that United States Postal Service studies have shown that, on average, only 14 percent of letters get read? On the other hand, postcards have a 94 percent readthrough ratio!
8. Postcards don't take up a lot of space.Your customers can carry them in their pockets and pocketbooks, or even create postcard displays on their refrigerator doors!
9. Postcards are inexpensive to print.
10. Postcards are easy to redeem. If you're asking your customers to bring your postcard into your store for a special discount, all they have to do is show up with the card. Or you can include a special tracking code with each card mailing. Just ask recipients to enter that code into the order form on your website or give it to the operator when they place a telephone order.

The New Age of Marketing
The new age of marketing is term i use to state the modern ways to attract new clients. Rather than your simple face-to-face boring, uneventful networking meetings (which you normally leave wishing you hadn't gone), with today's technologies we are now able to use the internet at our whim.
Whether its so meet people or to have fun or even to market your entire business without leaving your computer. The possibilites are endless with the internet at our fingers. So throw out those old ideas of writing "professional" letters and stamping each one and licking those awful envelope and open yours eyes to The New Age of Marketing, where we can take your ideas and convert them into streams of endless marketing strategies.
Whether you may want to start with a website, or even something smaller like a post card mailing! Standard sized post cards are only 28 cents did you know that? So rather than sending eveyone in your client books your boring old letters (which no offensive, usually end up in the trash) why not send them something fun and vibrant that they cant miss when they are looking through the mail. Put thats another topic for discussion (and probably one of my favorites).
Anyway i just wanted to interest all of you to my blog about new age marketing and all the great ideas i want to share with everyone.
See you soon!

The New Age of Marketing
Since i have only been in the marketing world for about 3 years, from mom and pop marketing to MetLife corporation marketing, i have learned the differences between the old and the new. With todays technologies we have the gift of knowledge at our fingertips. Without spending enormous amouts of money on useless forms of marketing like we used to. Now we have the internet to take our businesses to new heights and a fraction of the cost. From e-mail marketing to e-marketing as a hole, its possibilities open us to a whole new world.
